The cost of shipping Original Art is factored in and included in the total sale price. For all original works on my site listed as "Original Available" with a price listed, that is the total cost of the original piece, packaging, shipping and insurance. The Original Piece is wrapped in acid free paper, typically 2-3 times over then sealed in plastic. On top of the plastic are several layers of bubble wrap, followed by sheets of single or double wall cardboard which sandwhich the front face and back of the work. The last steps are many folded over layers of bubble wrap on all four edges to cushion against impacts. The shipping box is typically a heavy duty double walled box. Sometimes, depending on size, customizations are required at no additional cost.
For Commissioned Originals, the cost of shipping will also be included in the final sale price of the Original Art. This will be discussed further with the client at the time of the commission.
The biggest canvas I can use a traditional box for is a 36" x 60". For excessive sizes, for example, a 48" x 72" or larger canvas, will have to be custom crated. This cost will be discussed at the time of a commission of this nature with the client.
The typical shipping method is UPS or FedEx Ground service, within the Continetal US. Air Freight is also available, but would have to be quoted on an 'as needed' basis.
